The rules for using Worthing Brighton Bus, in plain words. By using the site you accept them. If you don't, please don't use it.
Last updated 15 September 2026.
Worthing Brighton Bus is an independent volunteer project run by Connor R. It is not run by, funded by or endorsed by any bus operator, train operator or council. Contact: privacy@worthingbrightonbus.co.uk.
Live times, timetables, fares, ticket zones and journey results come from published data that can be late, incomplete or wrong, and from calculations this site makes with it. Buses and trains run late, change and are cancelled. Before a journey that matters, particularly the last bus or train of the day, check with the operator. Fares and ticket rules are set by the operators and can change without this site knowing.
The service is free and provided as it is. It may be unavailable, slow or changed at any time, for example while its free hosting wakes up.
Parts of the site argue for better bus services. Those arguments are opinions, based on the published data and sources they cite, and each figure says where it came from and when. If something is wrong, please say so (see About and corrections) and it will be put right.
When you send an idea, a route, news or a report, you confirm that:
Submissions are reviewed before anything is published, and publishing is not guaranteed. What is published may be shortened, edited for clarity or safety, or removed later. By sending something in, you allow it to be published on this site, with the name you give, under the same licence as the rest of the site's content (below). You keep any rights you have in it. You can ask for it to be removed at any time. How submissions are handled is set out in the privacy notice.
Illegal content, and content harmful to children, is not allowed anywhere on this site. That includes hate, threats, harassment, abuse, encouragement of suicide or self-harm, and anything sexual. Every submission is read by a person before anything is published, and anything like that is not published.
If you see something on the site you think is illegal or harmful, or you want to complain about a decision (for example that something you sent was not published, or was removed), or about how the site meets its online safety duties, email privacy@worthingbrightonbus.co.uk and say which page and what the problem is. You will get a reply. Content found to be illegal is removed as soon as it is found, and a decision you disagree with will be looked at again.
The site's code is available under the MIT licence, and its own written content and data under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0): you can reuse them if you credit Worthing Brighton Bus. This does not cover material that belongs to others, such as operator names and liveries, map data, timetable and live data, fonts or photographs credited to someone else; those keep their own terms, listed on the about page and in the project's THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES file.
Links to operators, councils and other sites are there to help. This site is not responsible for what those sites say or do.
As far as the law allows, Worthing Brighton Bus is not liable for any loss arising from using the site or relying on its information, including a missed bus, a wrong fare or a journey that did not work out. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects your statutory rights.
These terms may change, and the date at the top will move when they do. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.
